Papa Piro’s Famous Beer Shrimp
A simple, flavorful shrimp recipe made with beer, vinegar, and spices. Perfect for backyard gatherings or an easy coastal-style dinner.

Ingredient list:
5 lbs. of shrimp
3 bottles of warm beer
1 quart of vinegar - apple cider or distilled
1 Papa Piro’s Beer Shrimp spice packet
Instructions:
Step 1: Combine all ingredients (except shrimp) and simmer 20 minutes.
Step 2: Add shrimp and simmer for 5 minutes or until all shrimp “turn pink”. Stir often and do not over cook.
Step 3: Take off heat and let soak. Stir every few minutes until shrimp are cooled.
Step 4: Place in refrigerator and marinate for at least 12 hours before serving. Under refrigeration serve in juice to keep shrimp moist.
Note: you may marinade shrimp 12 to 72 hours under refrigeration, the longer the better the taste.
Beer Shrimp Pasta
Beer shrimp served over freshly cooked pasta, finished with butter and a touch of oregano and basil for a hint of Italian flavor that pairs perfectly with the savory shrimp.

Ingredient list:
5 lbs. of shrimp
3 bottles of warm beer

2.5 - 3 lbs of pasta
2 T of butter
2–3 tsp paprika
2 tsp oregano
2 tsp basil
Salt & pepper to taste
Lemon wedges & fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions:
Step 1: Prepare beer shrimp according to recipe above.
Step 2: Prepare pasta as stated on packaging. Drain, add butter then stir in paprika, oregano, and basil. Salt and pepper to taste.
Step 3: Place cooked pasta in bowl, spoon beer shrimp over the top. Garnish with lemon wedges and fresh parsley, if desired.
Beer Shrimp Tacos
Savory beer shrimp served in warm tortillas and topped with fresh cabbage, cilantro, and lime give these tacos a fresh Mexican-inspired flavor that’s perfect for sharing.

Servings: 30 - 40 small tacos
Ingredient list:
5 lbs. of shrimp
3 bottles of warm beer
1 quart of vinegar - apple cider or distilled
1 Papa Piro’s Beer Shrimp spice packet
30–40 small tortillas (corn or flour)
8–10 cups shredded cabbage or slaw mix
2–3 cups diced tomatoes (optional)
1–1½ cups chopped cilantro
6–8 limes, cut into wedges
Optional: sliced avocado or crema
Instructions:
Step 1: Prepare beer shrimp according to recipe above.
Step 2: Heat tortillas in a skillet or wrap in foil and warm in the oven until soft.
Step 3: Place a handful of shredded cabbage in each tortilla. Spoon beer shrimp into each taco.
Step 4: Top with diced tomatoes, cilantro, avocado, or crema if desired. Squeeze fresh lime over the tacos and serve immediately.
